Rome, the 27th March 2020 – The International Telematic University UNINETTUNO UNINETTUNO takes on what it deems is a “social responsibility” in these particular times, by launching the #IostudioacasaconUninettuno (IstudyathomewithUninettuno) on the Web and on its social networks on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and by opening its platform and e-learning model to citizens, students, schools and universities that will be able to freely benefit from technologies and excellence-level educational contents capable to meet the new emergencies that school and higher education are facing.
The International University that, since ever, has been making of technologies a means to bring knowledge and learning into everybody’s homes, from now makes a commitment not leave the students, their families, professors and lecturers alone allowing them continue their studies and familiarize with online and distance teaching modes, thanks to UNINETTUNO’s model and offering everybody the opportunity to access knowledge whenever they wish to.
The University shares a repository of video lessons, academic contents drawn from UNINETTUNO’s digital archive, an Italian heritage including over 50,000 hours of video contents, 8,000,000 digital document, accessible online on demand with no space and time limits.
More specifically, by accessing the website studio.uninettuno.it, available on UNINETTUNO’s portal, www.uninettunouniversity.net, after having registered, students, teachers and all Italian citizens will have access to a selection of academic video lessons realized by UNINETTUNO’s lecturers, selected among the best ones of the traditional universities across the world and regrouped by faculties (Cultural Heritage, Communication Sciences, Economics, Law, Psychology) with a special focus on the challenges of technological innovation and of the globalized society.
The children of the primary schools and foreign people will be able to benefit from multimedia and hypertextual video lessons to learn how to read and write in Italian in a smooth way including: "I Learn Italian – The Treasure of the Letters”, designed by Maria Amata Garito and developed in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Inner Affairs; the students of the high schools and of secondary schools specializing in humanities and their teachers will be able to prepare for their school-leaving exams by taking advantage of some video lessons to prepare for the exam with specific subjects and, in particular, those of Italian, Mathematics, Latin and Greek, besides some video lessons aimed at study guidance.
This initiative includes also: the offer of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) available on UNINETTUNO’s e-Learning platform with 220 university courses in five languages (Italian, French, Arabic and Greek); the sharing more than 2,000 hours of video contents of general culture with lessons and witnesses of great masters and of great personalities of the Italian and international culture made available to everybody on the Web TV of UNINETTUNO, www.uninettuno.tv; the live streaming on the satellite channel UNINETTUNO.UNIVERSITY.TV with a daily program schedule including video lessons, documentaries, in-depth studies and films of young Mediterranean authors.
#IstudyathomewithUNINETTUNO confirms the high commitment of UNINETTUNO’s Rector, Prof. Maria Amata Garito and of her team during over 25 years in the design and development of a psycho-pedagogic model that is unique across the world and that has seen the prizing of UNINETTUNO’s e-Learning platform at a global level with the awarding of the E-xcellence label.
