THE INTERNATIONAL TELEMATIC UNIVERSITY UNINETTUNO FOR THEVOCATIONAL TRAINING OF AEROSPACE, DEFENCE AND SECURITYTECHNICAL STAFF

Rome, the 10th November, launch of UNINETTUNO and ASD course, AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association, on the specific Simplified Technical English, ASD-STE100 aimed at training technical authors for the aerospace or high technology industry who aredirectly involved in preparing technical documentation in the English language.

The distance training course will be delivered on UNINETTUNO e-learning platform andwill be certified by UNINETTUNO jointly with ASD.

UNINETTUNO was entrusted the task of training on the principles and use of thiscontrolled language which is mostly applied in fields of the defence, security andaerospace industry at European as well as at international level with the purpose ofenhancing worldwide security and exchange of information included in English-writtenoperational and maintenance documentations.

UNINETTUNO supplies educational models, software packages and e-learning platform;ASD supports the development of contents based on the latest STE100 specificationrelease.

The course will include 10 hours of video lesson delivered by a teacher who is member ofthe Simplified Technical English Maintenance Group and will also rely on tutors expert inthe field.

It will be possible to enrol in this course any time of the year and follow the lessons fromanywhere in the world thanks to the distance delivery mode; the course lasts 4 weeks andthe first 5 enrolled students will receive a scholarship.

Upon course completion the participants will be awarded the ASD-STE100 certification, arequirement that will be essential to work in all fields of the high-technology industry and ininternational environments.
