"Doing Journalism Today: Languages and Tools”: the Signatures of Today’s Italian Journalism at your home in the free online course of the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO for all citizens

Some of the signatures of today’s Italian journalism become the protagonists of the video lessons realized by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, in the free online course entitled "Doing Journalism Today: Languages and Tools", which can be accessed by students, teachers of the schools of all orders and degrees and by the universities and by all the Italian citizens who can access it through the portal of #IOSTUDIOACASACONUNINETTUNO (ISTUDYATHOMEWITHUNINETTUNO).

These professionals of information are also the video teachers of the Master’s Course in "Global Journalism" of UNINETTUNO’s Communications Sciences Faculty, supervised by Maarten Van Aalderen, a journalist of the Foreign Press Association and correspondent of "De Telegraaf ".

 

"These video lessons help us understand and analyze how information was born and how it has being changing in Italy”, UNINETTUNO’s Rector, Prof Maria Amata Garito, stated. “Our University goes on with its commitment to develop a quality-level education on the Internet by opening, for free, to all Italian students and citizens its own platform and sharing a selection of academic contents.”

 

What are the main rules in writing a newspaper article? How is information changing in the Internet Age? And, how can we safeguard the truth, learning to put into good use the new technological tools? The great signatures of the Italian journalism will answer these and many other questions.

 

The issues of their video lessons are about questions dealing with current affairs and more specifically they unveil the languages, the secrets and the techniques of this profession:

"Doing journalism today: languages and tools" is just one of the many online courses that UNINETTUNO has recently made available for free to students, teachers of the schools of any order and degree and to Universities and to all the Italian citizens.

Thanks to the project  #IostudioacasaconUninettuno (IstudyathomewithUNINETTUNO)", that the University launched on the Web during the Covid-19 emergency, with UNINETTUNO knowledge does not stop off: the users can access an online repository of multimedia and hypertextual video lessons for primary schools and high school institutes; those linked to the disciplines of the 30 degree courses of UNINETTUNO’s Faculties (Engineering, Economics, Psychology, Law, Communication Sciences and Cultural Heritage) for the students of the Italian universities.

Besides these ones, there are the special video lessons delivered by writers, poets, directors and artists who recorded them at UNINETTUNO’s studios and that allow the viewers to penetrate into their souls, understand and a get an insight into their works. The users have at their disposal UNINETTUNO’s digital archive, an Italian and international repository realized by a university that has always been using technologies to bring knowledge into everybody’s homes with 50,000 hours of contents, 10, 000,000 digital scientific documents, accessible online with no limits of space and time.
