Introduction to engineering applications of Circuit Theory.
Prerequisites
Fundamentals of Calculus and Physics.
Program
  • Voltage, current, nodes, loops, meshes, circuit graphs, trees, co-trees, cut-sets
  • Kirchhoff ’s voltage and current laws; generalized Ohm’s law
  • DC analysis of resistive circuits; basic theorems such as substitution, Thevenin, Norton, Millman
  • AC analysis; phasors and complex network functions; various powers with sinusoidal excitation in steady state
  • Introduction to transient analysis; applications to first order circuits.
