Course description

The course of Risk Management aims to provide students the basic instruments to understand economics and business management.

Prerequisites

None.

Objectives

The student acquire and develop skills related to the business administration and management needed to start

an independent professional activity or a career in private and public organizations.

Program

In details, the course is based on the following topics: Introduction to risk management, enterprise risk,

financial risk, market risk, operational risk, foreign exchange risk, liquidity risk, fraud risk, IT/IS risk, value

at risk model.

The topics are all covered in the 20 video lessons of the Risk Management course and they can be divided

into 5 conceptual areas as indicated below:

1)Risk and Security: Definitions (Lessons: 1, 2, 3)

2) Rationality, human action and sociology (Lessons: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)

3) Risk assessment and analysis in different environments ( Lessons: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13)

4) Bank and Information Systems risk (Lessons: 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)

5) Enterprise risk, management and strategies (Lessons: 18, 19, 20)

Exercises

The exercises are loaded in a specific area related to the entire course and they have no value for the purpose of

admission to the examination and should not be delivered to the tutor. The exercises have the objective of

verifying what are the shortcomings of the student throughout the study of a particular subject. Once identified the

gaps to be bridged, the student can contact the tutor who will implement training programs through interactive

classes and chats in order to improve the student’s preparation.
