The course aims to provide students with an overview of the topics related to the theme of the link between law and new media, with particular reference to the legislation on privacy. The connection with current events will be guaranteed by the discussion of "hot" issues such as the potential and risks in the use of social networks, and connected with the analysis of social phenomena such as, for example, cyber bullying. |

The goal is to provide the student with the tools to master the subject of new media from the point of view of legal regulation, with particular reference to the issue of privacy, with all the implications that this entails. |
|
During the course will address the issue of what is privacy, which is the story of that right, is treated as data protection both in Italy and in Europe and in other jurisdictions, what is meant by the right to privacy and right to be forgotten, and the study of the competent authority to protect the confidentiality, both Italian and European. We will then address issues specifically related to the world of new media such as those pertaining to the Web 2.0 and the use of social networks. |
