The course focuses on the theoretical and practical knowledge for the management of financial and investment functions in multinational corporations. Participants will understand how the international capital markets, foreign exchange markets, and the derivatives market can be used to manage transaction and operating risks facing the multinational firm. Students will learn how to manage multinational companies' investment and financing activities. The relevance of country risk and international corporate governance in cross-border investments will also be examined. The general emphasis is on the identification and management of opportunities and risk relating to international investments, exchange rate fluctuations, international financial markets and government policy changes.
Prerequisiti
Requirements for admission to the exam:

In order to be eligible for the exam the student must have viewed all the video lessons. These requirements must be met by the student no later than the closing date of the exam booking.

The following items do not constitute requirements for admission to the exam but constitute elements of evaluation by the teacher / tutor on the effectiveness of teaching:

  1. The results of the quantitative tracing (evaluations and statistical data) of the activities carried out in the didactic cyberspace in which the student took part (participation in interactive classes, number of accesses to the video library and to the media library, number of exercises completed and relative average evaluation/self-evaluation)
  1. Qualitative evaluation made by the tutor as it regards the activities carried out by each student, related to synchronic tutoring (telephone, chats, video-chats, audio and videoconferencing systems)
  1. Qualitative evaluation by the tutor of the activities, carried out by each student, related to diachronic tutoring (e-mail, discussion forum).
Scopi

At the end of the course, the successful student should be able to:

  1. master the basic theories of international finance;
  2. apply basic theories of finance into case analysis or simulated cases.
